Bio-Save®
Bio-Save® is an EPA registered, US-patented, post-harvest biological decay control agent. Bio-Save® is labeled for post-harvest applications for the control and prevention of disease on a variety of fruit and vegetable including, seed and storage white potatoes, sweet potatoes, citrus (lemons, oranges and grapefruit), apples, pears and cherries. The main ingredient of Bio-Save® is the formulated bacterium, Pseudomonas syringae. Pseudomonas syringae is a vegetative microorganism bacterium that enters the wounded crop where the mold spores (disease) are located and will last, under competitve inhibition, in the wounds throughout the storage period.
